Ocean Blvd Closed at Odiorne State Park

On 2/23/2017 at 2:50pm, Rye Police and Fire Departments responded to a motor vehicle crash on Ocean Blvd. near Odiorne State Park. Arriving units discovered a Pontiac Vibe with significant damage after crashing into a fire hydrant and a utility pole. The hydrant was destroyed while the utility pole was broken at the base and left hanging over the road. The female operator was treated on scene for minor injuries. The road will remain closed for several hours while Eversource and Portsmouth Water make repairs.
