Rye Water District Water Main Flushing

Notice: The Rye Water District will be performing their semi-annual water main flushing starting April 1 2020 to May 15 2020 for the purpose of removing sedimentation build-up and disinfection of the water mains. You may experience low pressure and/or discolored water periodically from this procedure. A low dose of chlorine will also be added for disinfection, you may notice the smell of chlorine. Additionally, due to the present circumstance flushing that was performed during night hours to reduce service interruptions will be performed during daytime hours to reduce staff fatigue.
