The Town of Rye New Hampshire is now accepting applications for the position of part time seasonal Parking Enforcement.
Job Summary
The position of Parking Enforcement Officer is normally staffed by a civilian employee that reports directly to the Parking Supervisor. As a general statement, Parking Enforcement Officers are responsible for the enforcement of the parking laws of the State of New Hampshire, and the ordinances of the Town of Rye as they pertain to the parking of motor vehicles on public ways. Parking Enforcement Officers patrol the Town of Rye as directed and takes appropriate enforcement action with regard to parking violations. Parking Enforcement Officers have no sworn powers and may not make arrests.
Minimum Qualifications Required
High school graduate or equivalent OR a combination of education and experience, which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, flexible availability, possession of a valid driver’s license, demonstrated computer, verbal and written communication skills, ability to pass criminal and financial background checks prior to employment.
